Artist Facebook Fan Page: www.facebook.com Artist Notes: I wanted to do something joyful as a thank you to the omnipresent for the gifts that have been bestowed… In particular the “gift of sight”. This topic has been at the forefront of my mind, because it has been the most relevant topic of conversation in my most recent days. Technical Details: Once again, this style is difficult to do with oil paint unless you learn how to work with it’s consistency, takes practice, but I think it pays off in the end. Oil painting is still my favorite! The Stretched canvas was prepared/primed using acrylic Gesso with a 2″ polyester brush. I then poured a generous amount of Gesso onto the canvas and created my desired texture with a palette knife and allowed it a couple of days to fully dry. Quite simple.
