i liked this! many elements in play that i love to see (chess, backwards, laughter, b/w) great work! don’t listen to the ignorance and negativity of those who speak from a place of weakness and insensitivity. i second the appropriate citation of the wonderful jim jarmusch.
why not put the title of your film on the video before ‘surreal film project’ respect your work and always be proud of it!!! thank you for sharing with us!
Check it out! It’s Twin Peaks at 1:48!!!
So the chess pieces represent famine and the video represents war. Poignant, moving.
Cheesey but creepy
Such a HAPPY film; I’ll be smiling all day!
I liked the chess board being in the wrong orientation and the whole coughing up chess pieces thing
@kingpanzer17 yeah, you are beginning to get it now.
This is more horror than surreal. Nice effects though.
…what?
what the fuck was going on. i mean im learning surrealism in my theater arts class, but is this it? is this what surrealism is? because if it is then im failing that part of class because this is just flat out fuckin weird. im not saying its bad im saying its fuckin weird
the ring?
The cough up of the chess pieces with very funny
This is really cool, enjoyed it very much. Great job!!!
it’s Twilight Zone all over again, mate…creepy indeed.
great film! i liked mostly all of it. it gives a surreal feeling and the plot is pretty clear though.
keep it up
really cool gave me some good ideas
This is a very good surrealist film,
I like the shots and different effects used
well done
good one
Thank you. I appreciate constructive criticism and look forward to seeing your surreal stuff in the future.
“Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination… Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent.
— Jim Jarmusch
amazing…
keep up the good work
love it
I thought the photography was extremely well done. The use of pause and rewind and mute was smooth, and selective colouring with the blood was good but at the same time not overly original, but I know it looks nice and is very tempting to do lol. Very good film. I haven’t finished my surreal stuff yet, all I have uploaded is a really bad group effort lol.
Lol, glad you know when to quit!
look just give up
This isn’t worth my time xD
And, the appearance of the acrylic balls in this film is purposeful and symbolic, though, of course, I will not explain the meaning! Surrealist films are meant to be interpreted, not revealed.
Yeah, the acting in your “experiments” deserve Academy Awards, I’m sure.
Because I have one shot of contact juggling, I am plagiarizing “The Labyrinth?” Contact juggling was made popular by Michael Moschen before “The Labyrinth,” and has connections stretching even further back into history. To state that a movie owns rights to a hobby/performance that many people practice is misconceived.
