Surrealism (Arvo Pärt – Für Alina)
Encyclopedia: Surrealism. Philosophy. Surrealism is based on the belief in the superior reality of certain forms of previously neglected associations, in the omnipotence of dream, in the disinterested play of thought. It tends to ruin once and for all other psychic mechanisms and to substitute itself for them in solving all the principal problems of life.

In a more prosaic and less poetical manner, I describe surrealism as
“taking reality and throwing it into a blender”.
LOL LOL Mix reality up and see what you come up with.

Very nice collection of images.
I still get a chuckle out of Rene Magritte’s “This is Not A Pipe” which is in this slide show because he painted that to poke fun at people who always asked,” what is it?” when they looked at a surrealistic painting. I have always gotten the same thing over the years when I have done something; they also always expect some profound, deep psychological meaning to the work too! LOL Cracks me up so I will sometimes make something up to play with them. ~~~ Chuck
@Vyrk I find it always best, when listen to the brilliance of Part, to not look at images. Images cannot capture sounds and distract from the music. I find it best to close my eyes and take only the music in, especially while listening to pieces like the Fratres and his unaccompanied choir pieces.
I don’t know, but quite Im unable to process the music and those pictures at the same time.
I finally choose to minimize the windows and just hear to Part.
Maybe too much, isn’t it?
Beautiful. Very tasty choice for music and pictures.
