Morbid Beauty – Abstract Art

Melissa Rocha from Merced, California is my favorite abstract artist of all time! She has painted well over 50 unique paintings and has never opened up to the public about her work until now. ::ABOUT MELISSA ROCHA:: Melissa was born in Merced California where she currently resides alone with her daughter. When she was younger, she was in and out of the local psychiatric hospital, and painting became her medicine. Even today, she admits that painting (and her 5 year old daughter) are the only things that keep her life together. ::ABOUT HER PAINTINGS:: She has many different types of painting that all have one thing in common… her feelings. She paints what she feels and at times, she has even been known to paint what others feel. ::CONTACTING MELISSA ROCHA and I:: Melissa Rocha’s myspace is: www.myspace.com My myspace is: www.myspace.com ::CLOSING:: I have many more of her paintings on video with her talking about them, but I just wanted to see what others would think before I posted more. So if you are interested in knowing more about Melissa Rocha’s paintings, feel free to contact me or say hello to her yourself on myspace. Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoy her work as much as I do. -Cory ::SPECIAL THANKS TO MY SPONSOR:: GoldenPalace.com is awesome for sponsoring my videos. If it wasn’t for them, the videos wouldn’t be so crisp and clear. THANK YOU GOLDEN PALACE!!! ::MUSIC:: Peace Orchestra – “Who Am I” Soundtrack – “How To Kill A Deadman Theme”

  1. That is real art.

  2. i see so her mind does the same thing to her as it does to the scared child backed into a corner in my mind my understanding is much smaller and i could be wrong considering most of the gruesome thoughts ive had i dont know why theyv been there maybe if i met this woman she could teach me about myself but alas it is but a fleeting dream luckily ive been blessed with the ability of repression of thought to survive the days

  3. Those painting… are just simply amazing.
    They are beautiful, wonderful, magnificent.

  4. Wow…

  5. Personally, I can connect with that person on so many levels. The way she describes her isolation and her thoughts and the way she sees admired people, also the art itself expresses that.
I am certainly not nearly as experienced as she, but I can see my art turning out similar to hers. That is also why I’m just as curious to find out how she can suppress the self-consciousness of such meaningful, expressive work.
Yes, it’s weird, but I want to see more. Her artwork is inspiring!
