The Visionary – A Time Lapse Painting by Ladessa Sullivan

facebook.com 20″x16″ Oil painting on stretched canvas from the Visual Poetry Collection by Ladessa Sullivan / CandyAcidReign Artist Notes: I was actually in the middle of taking a break (a few days off) from another piece I’m working on, when suddenly so many accumulated emotions, dreams, patterns, thoughts, all became ONE FEELING sending me into an emotional and creative frenzy. I had to paint it out immediately and I didn’t care about filming it (or anything else) until I stopped momentarily to get something to drink… at that point I took several pictures and later began recording the process by holding my digital camera in one hand and my brush in the other. Music: “So weird” by Nurykabe (William Berry Morusque mix) Painting, filming, editing and video production by the artist. Disclaimer: This video is an artistic expression of the artist and merely expresses authentic human emotion, spirituality, life cycles (reincarnation), immortality, prophecy, mythology, theology, science, philosophies, as well as the artist state of being, and how the artist perceives the universal consciousness at the time of the painting.

  4. @Beyond99 wow! Thank you so much Ty! I adore your feedback & love you for always being so supportive. Stay beautiful with your poetic musical self.

  5. Ladessa, this piece has me speeding up and down long and winding roads of the Windy 500… with a confirmation of living inside of the blessing as opposed to the blessing just hitch hiking a ride to the graveyard… Awesome painting!!!

  6. @followthedon Thank you. You’re on the right track with how you perceive the piece ;)

  7. @LifeGivesMeMelons Thank you! I’d love to see some of your work. Continue painting for the love of it and you’ll naturally grow in skill… but as I say, imagination, something to say, authenticity, and etc. can’t be taught. I’m still growing in skill as well, but those creative fundamentals that make an artist an artist are already there… the rest will come. Stay at it!

  8. @kingsean74 the inspiration for this particular piece would have to be SOME of my precognitive dreams / visions and the questions it begs me to ask… a mix of accumulated philosphies, thoughts on mythology, science, history, theology, & prophecy that started when I was a baby & have fell inline w/ much of the “rhetoric” I’m just now hearing about, but already saw in visions my whole life prior. I kind of zone out when I paint so I can’t claim 2 have all the answers to why this image came to me.

  9. vary original painting, Surreal, and colorful, aliens coming from the black hole center, or perhaps a eclipse or perhaps all the thoughts of the universe itself. vary thought provoking work.

  10. I really dig this, I have a similar syle to my paintings but they’re no where near as detailed as yours, great video.

  11. SIMPLY AMAZING… where does the inspiration come from? The painting, the camera work, the music it all just fits perfectly together.. I will be contacting you for some of that AMAZING Artwork when I move. SIMPLE AMAZING

  14. @TheRichAnt Awwe, thank you sis… so much. I read your comment and was like “that’s so beautiful”. To be honest the music choice this time was a hard call for me. I must admit I would never listen to this song without cringing at the flat vocals, but in context to the painting and the frenzy of the footage, I thought it had a certain eerie vibe that I realy liked for some reason. In context, it really fit the mood I was in while painting this. Stay inspired and keep using your gifts.
