@elstic666 I took it off of the original recording. keep your shirt on. gravity blasts are silly anyway, don’t you think?
gravity blast at the start?
Holy fuck, This guy is a fuckin monster. Best cover I’ve seen yet.
@VitriolJason did it, you’re welcome.
@Makuz0r its still relatively new. I’ve been trying to get it on Facebook as much as possible. care to share it on your wall? big thanks!
how does this only have 950 views?
this is fucking crazy dude. props man.
man youre too good for the brass youre using. major props dude
Bro you are fucking good, good work on this man.
@BMTHization hope you find what you’re looking for. and thanks for the compliments!
amazing cover man! great job
i was just about to ask where you live, then i read your description, got really excited that you live in atlanta too, but then my hopes were crushed when i saw that you would like to join a preferably signed/touring band, lol. but either way, we should jam sometime, i love your covers, i live in atl too and i cant really find too many pple that are all that great at… well really music, lol.
wat stick u using
@VitriolJason Lol, Jason, are you a horder? Do you need therapy? lmao. Im kidding. Your a seriously kickass drummer, and any band would be lucky to have you aboard.
Holy shittt! You are crazy mann. Great cover
@Sandullos that’s all I ever wanted to hear. thanks so much dude
You’re so good dude! You got so much energy, and your timing is awesome. I haven’t seen a drummer like you for ages. Good luck in the future. I’m sure someone will have you in their band.
@chyeaaitskristyn No man, being analytical is KEY. First be able to play the original part and try to understand WHY that drummer chose to play it particularly that way, and when you feel comfortable then you may feel encouraged to experiment with it. after all, drumming is an art, not a sport.
thanks for the feedback buddy!
@VitriolJason Yeah, I should take this advice lol…I’m a little over analytical when it comes to covers because I like to be as accurate to the song as possible. I like it when drummers change it up a little, and not too much. Maybe I’ll start throwing some more covers up like this. If you get a min check out a few of em.
@chyeaaitskristyn thats totally true. I hope that youtube drummers start taking more liberties with part-writing when doing covers – while still upholding the integrity of the the original drummer’s vision. I’m going to post a cover of a Protest the Hero song soon and you’ll see what I mean by “taking liberties”
I would call this more of an interpretation of this song, but a really good one for sure.
@MINARD734 nawww…. but I appreciate it!
Wow… dude… you are one of the best drummers I have ever seen 0.0.
@VitriolJason BADASS. I’m thinking I’m gonna stack my 12″ Wuhan either over top my trashed 16″ crash or over my 10″ splash. I’ll experiment thanks alot.
@justin94elswick its more like “what cymbals CANT you use”. you can make one of these after a trip to your local dumpster. but ideally stack one crash (preferably thrashed) (i like mine 16″), over a mutilated hi hat. what helps is the variance in diameter and especially bell character – the more different the bell characters are, the more interesting it will be to observe the points of contact btw the two cymbals. I’ve already explained too much. rule of thumb: never, EVER, throw anything away.
