‘sunflower river blues’ by John Fahey
Performed by ‘Deef John Holler in his ‘country’ style. ‘Sunflower river blues’ by John Fahey. from the album ‘death chants, breakdowns and military waltzes’, 1963 This version is probably more in the spirit of the Takoma sampler version. I may have heard it some years ago but it has been pieced together from the tablature available on the John Fahey official website and allowed to ferment a little. I do have an extended parlour version that I play for the land owners but this is the version i play on the porch after a few beers for all the staff.
