@csr11972 indeed. His spoken word style is captivating.. and funny you should mention others sounding like him. Taalam came first and been doing this for a long time. Many mimick but they are not authentic. I know the feeling since I’m often mimicked as well.
@csr11972 hey sis. You’re perception of this piece is precise and on point. Thank you for not only watching, but taking the time out to understand it’s meaning, and leave more than adequate commentary. I appreciate it & you.
As for Mr. Acey, I’ve enjoyed his work since the first audio I heard a few years or so back. I think he is real and relatable. Relevant. I even like the timbre in his performance voice. He does this thing with some of his words, running them together. Though not something new, it won’t get old when “he” does it. He was a good choice to work with, and you were for him as well. I’d like to see and hear more from both of you. Good stuff! *thumbs up*
Beautiful work as usual, Sis. We can talk about my other points of view later.
As usual, I interpret this a few ways. I’ll just share one or two points of view for now: I like the road in the piece. To me, that along with the title and the images on canvas, speak of time spent and lost with those involved. By force, be the reason good or bad. And maybe the road is one of redemption. Maybe a road leading back to “Happy” again for those involved. Perhaps a journey of one…from years before, leading to now. Either way it goes, “Good” waited at the end of it.
@ALYGUTTAMANE Thank you
@darkram411 Thank you love… for sharing how you felt while watching the video; it allowed me to share in the experience with you and enlightened me on a different perception. Taalam has several cd’s and he just released a new one. In the more info section you can find a link to his online store. It’s very affordable… I own some.
great work
Brilliant. You have taken it to the next level! I felt so immersed in the story watching it build and unfold before me on the canvas. I found myself changing as the picture changed. I don’t know why I felt like I saw so many people in different places at different times. And the music… brilliant! How much?
@sharonspaintings Thank you Sharon!
so amazing!!
@JazzyZenBrotha That’s Love! Thank you Jazzy Zen Brotha!
@TheRestlesswind Thank you! I’m working on a new one right now. Stay tuned.
@Broaart Thank you! good to see you here! I’m rich in other ways.
@TheRestlesswind – That’s right! This piece is a phenomenal work from her heart and soul that just speaks volumes of genius.
This is just absolutely beautiful. A true work of art with some nice spoken word as you work.
Just amazing!
@KurtisWatkins wow Kurtis… I’m still speechless. I read your comment when you posted it and I still can’t fix my thoughts to reply adequately. I’m just thankful that I have your kinship and you have mine. Thank you so much for everything. You are outstanding.
@TheRestlesswind this made me smile with pride for you yesterday…and cry with empathy for so many lost souls today x
I never regret visiting here…only the space and time it takes xxx This latest is your greatest x (imo) x
I have come to see your beautiful work and your lastest video. If being a talented artist was gold, you will be the richest person in the land. I really like your style!!
Everything you do is a manifestation of love – even if its wrapped in pain and scarred with history. No one can do what you do, few qualify to understand it, and even less can engage you on your level. You’re art is beyond category and beyond description and your gift has no limits. This was an exciting collaboration – however you know you stole the show
Taalam Acey is a magnificent spoken word artist, as you are as well. I think this may be your best work to date Ladessa. You are outstanding

Amazing! I love it
@AmandaDelight LOL! Those words… I’m not sure who they’re about, but they resonate with us artist chicks. I specifically chose that poem because of that.
So glad you saw this manda & dig it! Love you to death! …and I can’t wait till you get a studio &… whatever else you need! lol. xo
