Baby Jane Holzer – You’re Gonna Hurt Yourself (Surrealistic and great clip)
Well, I think this clip has a sort of surrealistic touch. The color version (yes it was broadcasted in color for those lucky people who had color TV back in early 1966) is gone forever, but I think the clip would look better in black and white anyway. I won’t comment Baby Jane’s vocal skills, though. Don’t forget to check out my other channels: www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com

Man, this clip is mindblowing. From Warhol to Middle America-that grinding sound you just heard was a paradigm shifting without the clutch having been popped first! As for her vocal skils? They’re adequate. She’s no worse than some of the other pop tarts of the time like Shelley Fabares or Patty Duke-stars that weren’t primarily singers, but just maximizing their fame. You’re right, this clip does look good in kinescope, but I bet it would look amazing in color-so flat and plastic.
