www.coreybarksdale.com Corey Barksdale is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. He was born into a family of artists and was introduced himself to art at an early age. Educated at the Atlanta College of Art, Barksdale graduated with a Bachelors degree in Fine Art in 1994. This artist’s talent has provided him with opportunities to paint works that went on to be used as book covers, magazines, and posters. Today, Barksdale continues to hone in on his craft. He aspires to paint murals and is available for commission work in this respect. Visiting his website is a great way to view the diversity of his work. Abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. Western art had been, from the Renaissance up to the middle of the 19th century, underpinned by the logic of perspective and an attempt to reproduce an illusion of visible reality. The arts of cultures other than the European had become accessible and showed alternative ways of describing visual experience to the artist. By the end of the 19th century many artists felt a need to create a new kind of art which would encompass the fundamental changes taking place in technology, science and philosophy.     i really like how you let the tubes stick to the canvas, by letting the paint dry to them. overall great painting thanks for sharing!
